Blade Hardware RMA and Upgrade Process
If a Blade engine board is in a fault state, it should be sent in for RMA. The unit can then be evaluated to identify whether the issue is with the engine board, FIO board, or power board.
How do I handle a Blade engine board fault?- Confirm that the engine board is in a fault state.
- Initiate the RMA process.
- Send the Blade in for evaluation.
The returned unit can be checked to determine whether the failure is caused by:
- the engine board
- the FIO board
- the power board
For a Blade that needs to be upgraded for demo or trade show use, the ATC connector module must be added. The hardware upgrade process should be coordinated with the appropriate internal contact, and LTE communication module availability may still be pending.
SUMMARY: For Blade hardware faults, the key step is to initiate RMA and send the unit in for evaluation. For upgrade requests, the ATC connector module must be added and the process should be coordinated through the proper channel.
